AURORA AUSTRALIS ANTARCTICA

Wild System are the 2019/20 Arts Fellows for the Australian Antarctic Division. We sailed on the final Antarctic voyage of the icebreaker RSV Aurora Australis, collecting data from the ship, the voyage, the scientists and the crew for the entire six week voyage.

CHILD IN THE WILD

Child in the Wild is an interactive installation that enables human participants and a child robot to co-create an immersive audiovisual artwork through the use of the robot's artificial neural networks to enable object and image recognition.

Eve of Dust is a collaborative performance and installation between a human dancer and a robot. The artwork draws on both the possibilities and anxieties arising from the collaboration between humans and emerging intelligent systems personified in the robot.

NEURON CONDUCTOR

Neuron Conductor investigates the effects of biological neuron activity, cultured on a multielectrode array, in response to the introduction of viruses and pharmacological treatments. The responses are visualised through the movement of a robot which conducts a unique musical score. A unique collaboration with neuro-engineer Asim Bhatti, using live neuron cells to operate a robot that composes music in response.
